BookClassics offers free access to public-domain books and audiobooks. The site is funded by advertising and by the sale of printed editions. The sale of printed books is governed by the Terms of Sale below.
The books are in the public domain in the United States and/or the European Union. Copyright law differs between countries: you are responsible for checking that a work is in the public domain where you live before downloading it.
Audiobooks come from LibriVox volunteer recordings, which are in the public domain.
Some descriptions come from Wikipedia and are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence (CC BY-SA). Credit is given on each page.
Do not use automated tools to download the site in bulk, overload it, or interfere with its operation.
Signing up for emails is optional. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
We show ads through Google AdSense. See our Privacy Policy for cookies and your choices.
The site is provided "as is", without warranty. We are not liable for errors in texts or for interruptions of service.
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version.
Seller. Printed books are sold by BookClassics (bookclassics.org), operated by Amine, Lot 963, Sala Al Jadida, Salé, Morocco. Contact: contact@bookclassics.org.
Products. Our printed editions reproduce public-domain works. They are printed on demand by partner printers for each order and shipped directly to you. Pictures on the site show the edition; small differences in colour or paper may occur.
Prices. Prices are shown in US dollars. The price shown for your address includes printing and standard delivery to the destinations offered. Quantity discounts appear in the cart. If an import tax or duty could apply to your country, we tell you before you pay.
Order and payment. Your order is placed when you confirm your basket and pay. Payment is handled securely by PayPal, by bank card or PayPal account; we never see your card details. You receive an email confirmation with your order reference.
Delivery. Each book is sent with a tracked service. The estimated delivery time for your address is shown before payment; you receive the tracking number by email when the book ships.
Right of withdrawal (European Union and United Kingdom). If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you may withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the book, without giving a reason. Tell us by email at contact@bookclassics.org with your order reference (you may use the model form below), then return the book within 14 days. We refund the price paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, by the same payment method; we may wait until the book is back. Return postage is at your expense. This right does not apply to books personalised at your request (for example with a printed gift page bearing names).
Model withdrawal form — To BookClassics, contact@bookclassics.org: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale of the following goods: [title], ordered on [date] / received on [date], order reference [reference], name and address of the consumer, date.
Damaged, misprinted or missing parcel. If your parcel does not arrive, or arrives damaged or misprinted, write to us with your order reference: we reprint your book or refund you. This does not limit your statutory rights, including the legal guarantee of conformity where it applies.
Digital files (Premium digital pack). Online reading on the site is free. The Premium digital pack is a paid download (illustrated edition, reading guide and, where stated, a complete audiobook). Its contents and language are described on the book page before you pay. Because the files are supplied immediately, you are asked at checkout to agree to immediate access and to acknowledge that you then lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for this digital content. If a file is missing or does not open, write to us: we will supply a working file or refund you.
Personal data. The information needed for your order (name, address, email, phone) is used only to print, deliver and follow up your order. See our Privacy Policy.
Questions and complaints. Write to contact@bookclassics.org; we usually answer within a few days. These terms do not affect the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.

Produits. Nos éditions imprimées reproduisent des œuvres du domaine public. Elles sont imprimées à la demande par des imprimeurs partenaires pour chaque commande et expédiées directement chez vous. Prix. Les prix sont affichés en dollars américains. Le prix affiché pour votre adresse comprend l’impression et la livraison standard vers les destinations proposées. Les remises sur quantité apparaissent dans le panier. Si une taxe ou un droit d’importation peut s’appliquer dans votre pays, nous vous l’indiquons avant le paiement.
Commande et paiement. La commande est passée lorsque vous validez votre panier et payez. Le paiement est géré de façon sécurisée par PayPal, par carte bancaire ou compte PayPal ; nous ne voyons jamais vos données de carte. Vous recevez une confirmation par e-mail avec votre référence de commande.
Livraison. Chaque livre part avec un envoi suivi. Le délai estimé pour votre adresse est indiqué avant le paiement ; vous recevez le numéro de suivi par e-mail à l’expédition.
Droit de rétractation (Union européenne et Royaume-Uni). Si vous êtes un consommateur dans l’UE ou au Royaume-Uni, vous pouvez vous rétracter dans les 14 jours suivant la réception du livre, sans avoir à vous justifier. Prévenez-nous par e-mail à contact@bookclassics.org avec votre référence de commande (vous pouvez utiliser le formulaire type ci-dessous), puis renvoyez le livre dans les 14 jours. Nous remboursons le prix payé, livraison standard comprise, dans les 14 jours suivant votre rétractation, par le même moyen de paiement ; nous pouvons attendre le retour du livre. Les frais de retour sont à votre charge. Ce droit ne s’applique pas aux livres personnalisés à votre demande (par exemple avec une page cadeau imprimée portant des noms).

Colis abîmé, mal imprimé ou perdu. Si votre colis n’arrive pas, ou arrive abîmé ou mal imprimé, écrivez-nous avec votre référence de commande : nous réimprimons votre livre ou nous vous remboursons. Cela ne limite pas vos droits légaux, notamment la garantie légale de conformité lorsqu’elle s’applique.
Fichiers numériques (pack numérique Premium). La lecture en ligne sur le site est gratuite. Le pack numérique Premium est un téléchargement payant (édition illustrée, guide de lecture et, lorsque c’est indiqué, livre audio complet). Son contenu et sa langue sont décrits sur la page du livre avant le paiement. Les fichiers étant fournis immédiatement, il vous est demandé au paiement d’accepter l’accès immédiat et de reconnaître que vous perdez alors le droit de rétractation de 14 jours pour ce contenu numérique. Si un fichier manque ou ne s’ouvre pas, écrivez-nous : nous fournissons un fichier qui fonctionne ou nous vous remboursons.
Données personnelles. Les informations nécessaires à votre commande (nom, adresse, e-mail, téléphone) servent uniquement à imprimer, livrer et suivre votre commande. Voir notre politique de confidentialité.
Questions et réclamations. Écrivez à contact@bookclassics.org ; nous répondons généralement sous quelques jours. Ces conditions ne privent pas le consommateur des protections impératives du pays où il réside.
